10) Coconut Oil Smoothie
What You’ll Need:
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon honey
half a banana
100ml almond milk Â
How to Prepare: Mix the ingredients and drink the smoothie on an empty stomach every morning for 10 days.
9) DIY Detox Body Scrub
What You’ll Need:
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw brown sugar
How To Prepare: Combine ingredients and apply to your skin in circular motions before showering. This can be used daily if preferred.
8) Hot and Sour Soup
What You’ll Need:
4 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 chopped green onions
a handful of chopped baby carrots
half a sliced lemon
How to Prepare: In a saucepan on medium heat add the sesame oil until it begins to shimmer, add the red pepper, garlic and green onion.
Stir until fragrant (approx 1 minute). Â
Add the carrots and stir for a further 2 minutes.
Pour in 8 cups of water, cover/cook on medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
Add the lemon juice and season with salt to taste.
7) DIY Detox Bath Salts
What You’ll Need:
2 cups of epsom salt
1 cup baking soda
20 drops of essential oil.
How To Prepare: Mix the dry ingredients together and add your choice of essential oil (we recommend lavender as it relaxes both body and mind). Add the mixture to a bathtub and enjoy a detoxifying bath.
6) Lemon- Ginger Detox Drink
What You’ll Need:
1 tablespoon fresh ginger
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey
How to Prepare: Combine all ingredients and drink the mixture over ice after every meal.
5) Green Apple Cleanse
What You’ll Need:
One green apple
two tablespoons of lemon juice
a thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger
How to Prepare: Core and grate the apple. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and mix with the fresh grated ginger. Drink this mixture 30 minutes before every breakfast for 10 days.
4) Ginger Detox Tea
What You’ll Need:
A piece of ginger roughly 5cm long
1/2 tbsp of lemon juice
2 cups of water
How to Prepare: In a saucepan add 4 cups of water and bring to the boil.
Add the piece of ginger and boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool down slightly.
Strain into a mug, add lemon juice and drink while still warm (alternatively you could add honey if it’s too strong for your taste buds.)
3) Minty Green Tea
What You’ll Need:
1/2 cup of spinach
1 tsp mint leaves
1 green tea bag
2 cups of boiling water
How to Prepare: Steep the green tea and then remove the tea bag. Add the spinach and mint leaves. Allow the tea to cool and drink before going to bed for 10 days.

What You’ll Need:
1 teaspoon dried basil
a few fresh sprigs of parsley
1 green tea bag
How To Prepare: Steep the green tea as usual and remove the tea bag. Add the basil and parsley and drink the tea while still warm.
1) Beet, Carrot and Red Pepper Booster
What You’ll Need:
1 beetroot (grated)
half a carrot (grated)
1 red pepper (sliced)
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
How to Prepare: Combine the grated vegetables with the fresh squeezed lemon juice and drink on an empty stomach each morning for 10 days.
Please Note: Any of these recipes can be adapted to suit your tastes, if you don’t like the taste of mint simply add a tsp of sugar, honey or artificial sweetener. Also remember that these drinks/smoothies/teas shouldn’t be used as meal replacements, they’re simply an addition to your daily diet which will help aid detoxification.
