Banana and Oat Smoothie for Weightloss

Smoothies are a great way to lose weight, but only if the ingredients are right. A smoothie with lot’s of fruit and ice can be very tasty, but unfortunately not very good for losing weight.

To have a successful diet or meal plan to lose weight you should eat foods that fill you up without being high calorie. The best way to do this is by including lots of low calorie foods in your meals.

Smoothies are also a great way to incorporate healthy ingredients without having them be too high in calories.

One of my favorite ingredients to use are oats. Oats are very nutrient dense, and help keep you full for hours after eating them. Additionally they will decrease your cholesterol levels which is awesome if you don’t already do this.

For this smoothie recipe I used the following ingredients:

1 Banana

1/4 Cup Rolled Oats

1/2 Cup Milk (or non fat milk substitute)

2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

I used almond milk in the recipe, but any milk you enjoy would work fine.

To make this even more filling I recommend adding a teaspoon of flax seed oil, or a handful of berries.

To make this smoothie you should combine all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until everything is liquified, and enjoy your very filling, low calorie shake.

I hope you enjoy this smoothie as much as I do. If you have any questions about making it feel free to comment below.
